■Get Involved!
shOObh Group Welfare Society is a not-for-profit organization serving the Indian art forms and humanity. All our programs are designed to educate people on human welfare issues. In all of shOObh Group projects art forms are used to convey the message.
We have the required knowhow, operational structures, network and an effective management team to execute large projects and events in schools. Ideal volunteers possess any or all of the following qualifications:
--> Technical skills associated with sound, lighting and multi-format video projection systems
--> PC and/or MAC computer skills
--> Superior organizational skills and flexibility
--> Experience in set design or set building
--> Stamina and a can-do attitude
Volunteers who donate hours prior to and throughout the program and/or Symposium gain access to seminars, panel discussions, and exhibitions subject to the schedule. Internships are a great way to be involved, while gaining valuable experience to add to your resume! shOObh interns have the opportunity to assist with preparations for a variety of events, including the shOObh Arts, shOObh Green, People ‘n’ Animal - 2011.
Current internships are available and applications are now being accepted.
The ideal candidate has an interest in art & culture, photography, environmental conservation, non-profit organizations, public relations, and/or event planning; and is a motivated, self-starting individual. Communications, Journalism, and Film/ drama students are strongly encouraged to apply.
An intern must be a currently enrolled or recently graduated college student able to commit at least 2 days a week for a minimum of six weeks. Students are strongly encouraged to intern as long as they are able, for a more complete experience.
Grow personally and professionally through project specific opportunities in one or more of the following areas:
--> Advertising
--> Event Planning
--> Public Relations
--> Marketing
Housing and living expenses are the responsibility of the intern. Internships are unpaid, but may apply toward petty expenses for project. Interns may have a job during their internship, as long as it does not conflict with their commitment to shOObh. All interns receive a nominal stipend.

People 'n' Animal - Exhibition-2011

“People ‘n’ Animal”
The project aims to introduce animal welfare in schools through extra curricular activity. The larger goal of this campaign is to lay down the seeds of compassion and kindness in early years of personality development of a child. Rising levels of crime and cruelty alarm society. So, just like we teach math and science, kindness and consideration, too, need to be taught to our children in schools.

Venue: Painting exhibition(s) at Prominent locations in India.

How you can participate:
Eligibility Criteria:
(i) The program is open to all school / college students.
(ii) Participants must be bona fide students of the school / college they participate through.
(iii) Participant could also be a foreign national.
Guidelines for Entries:
(i) No participation fee.
(ii) School/ college shall submit the best paintings.
(iii) Format of the entry: Painting must be framed and properly packed.
(iv) Each entry should be original, entirely done individually.
(v) Painting may have a caption, but should the caption not exceed 5 lines & must be written in English/ Hindi.
(vi) A maximum of TWO entries per school/college shall be entertained. Any entries beyond the specified limit shall only be taken on request and after the prior approval of the board.
(vii) Attach a copy of the form with the painting, Form must be duly filled and signed by the Principal/ authorized signatory of the school/college with stamp.
(viii) Submission & Return: Entries must be submitted to and collected from shOObh Group Welfare Society, 10, CSC, Pocket-E, DDA Market, Mayur Vihar-2, Delhi-110091.
(ix) The organizers shall not be responsible for any loss/damage of any entry during transit.
(x) All participants not complying with the rules will be disqualified. The organizer’s decision shall be final and binding.
IMP: By submitting the painting entrants will be deemed to have read these rules and agree to be bound by them. Organizer reserves the right to vary, cancel or modify the competition or its terms and conditions in whole or part at any time.
The participant shall work with shOObh Group to promote his painting(s).
Handling of the Entries & Intellectual Property: Participant retains ownership of the copyright in any submitted entry. However, by entering in this exhibition, participant grants organizer the irrevocable, perpetual right to use, edit, adapt, print and publish in any media now known or hereafter discovered any or all of the entry without compensation to the participant, his or her successors or assigns, or any other entity. ENTERING A SUBMISSION IN THIS EXHIBITION CONSTITUTES PARTICIPANT'S IRREVOCABLE ASSIGNMENT, CONVEYANCE, AND TRANSFERENCE TO SPONSOR OF THE FOREGOING RIGHTS.
